Coober Pedy isn’t known for being the most beautiful place on Earth, but through Abigail Varney’s lens, we can see more than a little charm in the place.

Coober Pedy isn’t known for being the most beautiful spot on Earth, but through Abigail Varney’s lens, we can see more than a little charm in the place. The shutterbug has trotted the globe, snapping street life in New York City, Sri Lanka and Nepal, but made her way over to the South Australian opal mining town to explore our ever-changing national identity and character. (If it’s anything like that “white man totem pole”, we might be in trouble.) You can take a peek at more of the talented lady’s photography on her website.
