Hello! Tell us about your brand. We're Allpress and we roast coffee around the world. We started off with humble beginnings as a coffee cart run by Michael Allpress in Auckland in the late '80s, and now we proudly roast and supply coffee in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the UK and Singapore.
What else do you do? Beyond coffee, community is at the heart of everything we do, from the events we serve coffee at, to the artists we collaborate with and the brands we partner with – it's all about bringing people together over a brew.
Why did you want to be involved with the frankie Good Stuff awards? We've had a long and wonderful partnership with frankie, and we're excited for the opportunity to support their program, providing a platform for people within the community doing lots of good stuff.
What makes you well suited to sponsor the community category? We believe all good ideas start over a tasty cup of coffee. It's the perfect enabler of conversation, collaboration and creativity. To us, supporting this category is about encouraging everyday people who are working towards change in our wider communities through various initiatives.
Is there something you're hoping to see in the entries for that category? We're hoping for some creativity and innovation, addressing major current issues, such as waste management, equality and the arts. These are all important spaces with opportunity for education and change, and they're valuable to us here at Allpress.
