Tell us about your brand. Our innovative approach to design education means students can achieve amazing results in a seriously short amount of time. They can study full-time or part-time in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New York, London or Manchester, graduating with a polished portfolio, ready to land their dream job.
What do you do? We create an inspirational learning environment where design students learn real and relevant skills – including design theory, typography, packaging, mobile app design and user experience (UX) – straight from practising designers.
Why did you want to be involved with the frankie Good Stuff awards? Good Stuff is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate emerging Australian and New Zealand creatives. As design educators, it's our privilege to support frankie's effort to recognise and reward talented people doing extraordinary things.
What makes you well suited to sponsor the design category? We live and breathe design and creativity! We’ve spent 20 years perfecting our curriculum and teaching methods. The Good Stuff design award encompasses websites, branding, packaging, stationery and other digital graphics, and we teach all these categories, and then some.
Is there something you’re hoping to see in the entries for that category? We love creatives who really push the envelope! We hope to see clever visual solutions to well-defined problems, backed up by amazing execution and aesthetics.
If you could create an entry of your own, what would it be? Our entry would have to reference the Shillington experience. Maybe packaging for a Shillington Snacks range to keep our hardworking students energised? Or a ‘design translator’ app would be pretty nifty, to help students remember design-speak and translate their ramblings about kerning and widows to their non-designer friends at the pub!
