accidentally wes anderson, the book
Few movies inspire such obsessive delight for visuals and set design like Wes Anderson’s. In fact, the filmmaker’s aesthetic vision is so loved, it’s spawned a global fan community via the Instagram account @accidentallywesanderson. If you don’t already follow along, the account (which boasts 1.3 million followers) is dedicated to snaps of Wes Anderson-like vistas submitted from around the world. Nothing is actually shot by Mr. Anderson himself, but with all the grand symmetrical buildings, pastel hues and ornate patterns, they might as well have been. After three years of curating thousands of arresting photos, the account’s Brooklyn-based founder Wally Koval is now releasing an eye-pleasing coffee table book, out on December 29th. Filled with stunning photos of over 200 real-life places, it’s a rad ode to Wes's cinematic awesomeness, and a rather unique travel guide for design nerds. Sadly, you won't be able to get your hands on it before Christmas, but if you know someone who doesn't mind a delayed gift, you can still order a copy over here.
