What could possibly be better than seeing excellent bands? Seeing them among all your favourite critters at the zoo.
Do you reckon lions, tigers and bears are fans of Ben Folds, The Preatures, Cut Copy and Neil and Liam Finn? Because they’re all going to be performing at the Melbourne Zoo, as part of the Zoo Twilights concert series, early next year, so they’re just going to have to like them. (The Cat Empire are also playing… Maybe they’ll go down well with the lions and tigers? Only if they’re into ska, obviously.) The gigs will raise funds for the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, who the good folks at the zoo are trying to save from extinction. Bloody good on ’em! And good on all the participating artists, too.
