za’atar bagels

By Emma Do
24 August 2019

All the magic of a Montreal-style bagel, with the added bonus of tangy, aromatic spices.

It’s a well-known fact that any baked item with a hole in the centre rules (see doughnuts, pretzels, Bundt cakes). Rounding out the category are bagels – delicious in both sweet and savoury forms.

These here bagels are of the latter, flecked with za’atar (a blend of spices including thyme, oregano, sumac and toasted sesame seeds) and satisfyingly salty all on their own. If you feel like giving it a whirl, head over to Baked the Blog, and get ready to put your kneading muscles to work.
