If you dig literacy, then you may very well crap your pants (in a good way) at Word Alert. The three-day festival is a celebration of words in boxes, presented by The Good Copy, at NGV International in Melbourne. You’ll have the chance to learn all about crossword setting from the people who do it for a living; solve puzzles with crossword diehards; compete in a spelling bee; submit a grammar gripe; or just grab a coffee and fill in some squares (the Collingwood Crossword Club will be around, should you wish to do so with the help of some friendly likeminded nerds).
