voluptuary ceramics

By Emma Do

Ceramicist Emma Bartik reckons our curvy, fleshy bits deserve more love.

As it turns out, our tummies have a lot in common with ceramic bits – at least maker Emma Bartik from Voluptuary Ceramics thinks so. Her pastel tummy tumblers celebrate all the natural curves and folds of the human body, especially the fleshy parts we’ve been told to hide. Much like our hard-working bellies, Emma’s clay cups are soft to the touch, yet strong enough to hold it all in. To see more of Emma’s sorbet-toned vessels (all made from her studio in Sydney), head right this way.
