tunesday – sour worm is (much better than) ok

By Juliette Salom

The folk-rock musician is flirting with the winds of chaos.

Sour Worm – the eloquently reflective project helmed by artist Jasper van Daatselaar – knows how to make one heck of a (sour) earworm. After releasing their sophomore album last year – the intricate and beautiful Let Me See The Light – our favourite lolly-named band is back.

The latest tune, “Okay”, digs deep into Sour Worm’s rockier roots – perfect for jamming out to in the car with the windows down, if you ask us. They describe the track as being “about following through with an intrusive thought; it’s about being silly, accepting the consequences, and leaning into moments of chaos.” So, just embrace the silliness – OK?

Feast your eyes and ears on the song and its ripper music video below (water balloons and all). You can also pop over here to stay up to date with Sour Worm's latest news and tunes, including their third album Beep Beep, set to be released on May 30th.
