In case you weren’t already aware, New Zealand has some of the best damn musical acts around. This has been the case for some time, in fact, as devotees of the iconic kiwi record label Flying Nun will know. Flying Nun has been responsible for releasing tunes from many an excellent post-punk band, including Mermaidens, a Wellington trio making dark, enchanting melodies that we’re rather partial to.
