At heart, “Witches” is about watching a loved one struggle with their mental health. The twist? Erica sings from the perspective of a young’un who only knows of life through Disney movies and fairy tales. “If a child witnessed someone experience depression, they would probably think that the person has obviously been hexed or cursed by some evil witches,” Erica says.
