“Naked” is the first single from the Adelaide artist's forthcoming EP.

South Australian indie-pop lass Jess Day’s new track “Naked” is all about that gut-wrenching, icky feeling of being used following a breakup.

“It's about thinking back on the intimate moments you shared, particularly sex through the lens of shock and disbelief that you were experiencing an entirely different connection than they were at the time,” she says. “It's about wishing you'd known sooner, not kept them around - having access to parts of you they shouldn't anymore.”

The self-taught Adelaide singer-songwriter is set for big things, having recently signed to Wonderlick Recording Company – a joint venture with Sony Music – and after being named Best Solo Artist at the 2020 South Australian Music Awards (she also took home Best Song for her track “Affection”).

Jess has dropped a moody new video for “Naked”, starring Puberty Blues actor Brenna Harding and directed by Jack Bielby and Thomas Schaefer. Check it out below (but be warned – it might make you weep a little).
