tunesday – isabella manfredi

There’s a new album on the way.

Mark it in your calendars, folks – super-cool Sydney songstress Isabella Manfredi will release her debut solo album izzi on September 2nd. The announcement comes more than a year after the band that Isabella fronted for over a decade, The Preatures, officially called it quits. Since then, Isabella has given us a little taste of things to come in the form of catchy tracks "Jealousy" and "One Hit Wonder".

The new record marks a “beginning and an ending” for Isabella, representing her exit from The Preatures and becoming a mother, a wife and an artist in her own right. “That’s why I called it izzi,” she says of the album. “Izzi was the chrome-wheel-spinning character onstage when I was with The Preatures. I wanted to capture her essence but also create space for my true adult self to have longevity and move beyond her if I needed to. I am Izzi, but she is not me.”

While we patiently wait for September to arrive, we’ll be bopping around to Isabella’s latest single, “Naïve”, featuring rapper PRICIE. Tune in below.
