tunesday – floodlights release their debut album ‘from a view’

It’s always awesome to see members of the frankie family go on to do rad things. Ashlee Kehoe, our occasional music writer and former office legend, is these days penning songs alongside her Floodlights band mates Louis Parsons, Joe Draffen and Archie Shannon. And hoo boy, are they making some top-notch work. The band recently released their debut album From a View, a collection of emotional tracks that trace subjects such as power and ego, hidden Australian histories and a journey up to the Kimberley. We recommend giving it a listen below – if not for the A+ storytelling and nostalgic alt-rock vibes, then at least for Ash’s epic harmonica solo in “Thanks for Understanding.”
