Just yesterday they announced their first Australian tour for Falls Festival, and today we had a little chat with London Grammar (or more specifically Hannah Reid, the beguiling lady out front of the mysterious trio).

If you haven't yet wrapped your ears around the group's understatedly excellent tones, settle back with a cup of something toasty warm, clear your mind and have a listen below. It's like mental yoga, minus the achy muscles and difficult poses.



Tell us the story of how you guys met. We met at university. Me and Dan [Rothman] were in the same halls...I thought he looked cool so I said hey!

How would you describe your sound? A mixture of minimal electronic atmospherics and Jeff Buckley.

What's been the toughest part of recording the new album? People disagreeing with me.

Describe the first ever London Grammar gig. I threw up!

What were you like at school? I was the same as I am now, maybe more geeky.

What's your idea of a great night in? Staying in with my best friends Abbie and George drinking Earl Grey tea.

Any non-musical talents we should know about? I can close my nostrils completely without pinching my nose!
