tunesday - frankie & the heartstrings

You might think there's something a wee bit egotistical about profiling a band that shares our name, but we couldn't go past the sunny melodies from indie rock band Frankie & the Heartstrings. Since we popped their tunes on the stereo, the office has been filled with involuntary foot-tapping, head-nodding and chair-dancing, and a sudden urge to cruise to the local diner for a malt and some cheesy fries.

The quintet from northern England will release their second album, The Days Runaway, on May 31, and we can't wait to hear more of their upbeat pop. To tide you over 'til then, take a squizz at the video for their latest track "Nothing Our Way", and soak up the good vibes.
