tunesday - frankie christmas eve tunes

Here are some non-jangly Christmas folk tunes (with swish accompanying animated videos) for some Yuletide relief from your musical fairy lights.

Now, we're not anti-Christmas carols or anything like that (in fact, we can still sing the harmonies to "Silent Night" from our high school choir days, albeit a tad more off note). However, by the time your musical, blinking fairy lights have repeated the same out-of-key rendition of "Little Drummer Boy" a dozen times, you might be looking for something a little nicer.

Enter these two videos for your Yuletide relief!

The first is a Christmas ditty from musician Terry Emm and animated by the seriously-talented Mark Charlton, and the second is the new clip from High Highs. While the latter is not strictly Christmas related, anything with multicoloured fairy lights this time of year has us decking the halls.

Good luck wrapping your pressies today, and try to leave a little fruit cake for nan tomorrow, okay?
