this local studio creates swish wares using ancient techniques

Your loose change and doodads will be happy as heck in these wares.

There’s plenty of stuff the Ancient Egyptians did that we still do today – wear eyeliner, worship cats, keep organs in jars – but one practice that’s not so common is the fused glass technique. Melbourne/Naarm studio Minnow uses this nifty technique – which involves fusing small pieces of glass together in a kiln – to craft gorgeous jewellery and homewares. Minnow’s stuff sells out quick, so keep an eye on their website for the latest drops.
