We're dying to try this at home, but we're a bit afraid of burning ourselves or inhaling something we shouldn't. These vases aren't some fancy kind of handblown glass – they're made from ordinary PET plastic, the kind most soft drink bottles are made from. Dutch designer Ruben der Kinderen is a champion of DIY manufacturing, and he's figured out a way to make these with just an oven, some hardware supplies and a bicycle pump. So clever.
