the westographer exhibition

By Staff Writer

Warren Kirk snaps Melbourne’s western suburbs in all their ramshackle glory, and has an exhibition in said city coming up rather soon.

Frankie fanatics will no doubt recollect our chat with shutterbug Warren Kirk, aka the Westographer, in issue 56 – but for those of you whose memory fails you (and those of you who haven’t yet had a chance to peruse that particular edition of frankie), allow us to (re)acquaint you with Warren. The talented chap specialises in snapping Melbourne’s western suburbs in all their ramshackle glory – from old school fish and chip shops to inside folks’ gloriously daggy homes.

You can take a peek at his work just below, or, if you’re in Melbourne town between Monday November 7th and Sunday November 19th, drop by VU at MetroWest (138 Nicholson Street, Footscray); the man is exhibiting his latest and greatest stuff as part of Think West, a festival created by The School of Life and powered by Highpoint. Oh, and all proceeds from the sale of Warren’s pictures at the showcase will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. Nice one.
