A unique social enterprise with stacks of vintage fabrics and craft supplies.

If you’re a crafty Sydneysider who enjoys digging around for vintage fabrics, you might want to check out The Sewing Basket. The social enterprise run by disability support organisation, Achieve Australia, collects stacks of donated fabrics, wools, haberdashery and sewing patterns from individuals and estates alike. Not only are there heaps of supplies to paw through, the shops also provide meaningful employment to people with disabilities, while the rest of the dosh from sales goes back towards a variety of disability support programs. If you're in Newington or West Ryde, pop by to have a looksy. (Locations at the bottom of the post.)
