the pixie project

Here’s some good news: a local lass is gathering crocheted beanies for tiny tots in need.

When it comes to things in life that are decidedly crappy, tiny tots going through the chillier months without beanies and winter woollies is right up there. Lucky, then, that a big-hearted local lady is doing something about it.

Crochet fanatic (and mother of one) Anthea Abell, AKA Full Tilt Nanna, is gathering handmade bonnets and beanies from around the world to donate to the St Kilda Mums – a not-for-profit group helping families all over Melbourne. The beanies will be photographed first to show off a bit of their handmade detail, then posted online alongside stories of the babies who’ve received them. Pretty sweet, huh?

To get involved, pop over to The Pixie Project website, and be sure to have your bonnets ready to go before it all wraps up on Wednesday August 31st.
