If you’ve ever felt too intimidated to buy art from a gallery (or perhaps, a little short of funds), you might appreciate The Other Art Fair – a four-day event and opportunity to buy directly from emerging artists. More festival than posh art gallery, it’s completely open to the public and features more than a hundred artists.
The spring edition of the fair is happening this October in Sydney. In addition to a huge array of art for sale (including paintings and sculptures), you’ll also get to check out an exciting program that includes screen-printing workshops, immersive installations, and even the chance to nab a hand-poked tattoo from Lily Gloria (it’ll be based on a first-come, first-served basis).
