the makers and shakers market is coming back to melbourne

By Juliette Salom
2 April 2025

Cancel your weekend plans – April 5th and 6th are all about making and shaking.

Melbourne/Naarm is playing host to a haven of all things handmade this weekend as the Makers and Shakers market waltzes back into town. Featuring a mecca of over 175 curated stalls, the Royal Exhibition Building will be turned into a heavenly maze of Australian-made homewares, slow fashion, tasty treats and delish drinks. Plus, there’ll be a top-notch selection of vinyl-spinning DJs to get you in the shopping mood, as well as cheap-as-chips workshops and some sneaky product tastings.

We can’t wait to peruse our favourite Aussie brands – like the candlemakers behind You, Me & Bones or the clever furniture folk at Goldie’s 3 Chairs – and nab some goodies to take home with us. Better yet – the cost of entry is only five bucks (and kids enter free). Hurrah!
