the makers and shakers conference

By Emma Do
8 January 2019

A full day of talking all things crafty and handmade.

We’ve long been fans of the Melbourne-based Makers & Shakers market, so it’s a wee bit exciting to see that the event has expanded into a full-day creative conference! For the first time ever, on February 22, 2019, a host of folks in the know will descend on Federation Square to talk all things crafty and handmade.

The topic of the day is Australian creative businesses – how to strike a work-life balance; winning at social media; creating authentic products; and where the market for handmade goods is heading – and if you nab a ticket, you’ll hear from people like designer Emily Green, weaver Maryanne Moodie, creative lady Kate Berry, journalist Kath Wilson and social media pro Kylie Lewis.

There’ll also be academics, market founders and a whole bunch of other clever minds sharing their ideas and knowledge. (Plus, swish food and drink providers will keep you satisfied throughout the day.) Wanna see more? Pop by the website to see more.
