Melbourne singer-songwriter Thando’s latest may be a luscious future soul track on the surface, but beneath the harmonies is a cautionary on inner demons. Singing from the perspective of her creeping anxiety, ‘Happy’ is Thando’s own letter to her conscious self – a reminder to continue being vigilant about her mental health, even during the best of times.
