stuff mondays – extraordinary things to cut out and collage

By Emma Do

Two hundred pages of cut-and-paste goodness.

British artist Maria Rivans can sometimes spend months collecting the perfect clippings in order to create her glamorous collages. And while hunting for images in antique books, retro magazines and odd bits of vintage ephemera is perfectly normal for a professional artist, it’s much less realistic for us time-poor souls. Luckily for us, Maria has put together a collage book filled with over a thousand weird and wonderful images, ready to be cut out and turned into something new. Pretty neat, don’t you think? Maria’s book is called Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage, and if it takes your fancy, you can nab a copy from Thames and Hudson online or try your luck at scoring one from our win page. (We have 10 to give away.)
