strawberry whoopie pies

We're not entirely sure about the origin of the name whoopie pie, but no doubt the way we just hooted with joy has something to do with it. This strawberry version is a sweet alternative to the usual chocolate/cream combo, and given that there's fruit involved in its construction, chances are it's on the 'every day foods' end of the food pyramid. Right?
