The Melbourne lady behind State of Permanence ceramics has a philosophy about clay goods that makes us smile.

The Melbourne lady behind State of Permanence ceramics has a philosophy about clay goods that makes us smile. Apparently, they remind her of raising real-life kids: they’re soft and malleable at first, then a little bit off the rails, before finally being moulded into a beautiful and unique permanent shape.

If you’d care to see more of her cups, plates and trinkets, please direct your eyes over to the State of Permanence website. Keep in mind, though – only the jewellery is available to buy online at the moment. To grab some crockery, you’ll have to find designer Shireen at a market stall, or drop her a line.
