Next time you find yourself absent-mindedly scribbling while your pal waffles on at the other end of the phone line, don't be too hasty to ditch your doodles. You might have inadvertently created something rather special, like Tokyo University of the Arts student Daigo Fukawa.

Those sketchy designs to the left aren't just flat line drawings, but fully-functional 3D furniture fashioned out of wire. They were dreamt up for Daigo's senior thesis exhibition and, given we've often fantastised about what it would be like to live inside an illustration, we reckon they're bloody brilliant.
