You may have spied this lady’s paintings in frankie many moons ago. Now you can check them out in real life (and grab a free tasty beverage while doing so).

Things we learned about abstract painter Sarah Kelk in frankie issue 67: coffee fuels her creativity (even once it’s gone cold); intuition guides her process; and she reckons there ain’t nothing wrong with liking a piece of her artwork just ’cos it’s pretty. As you can see right here, the good lady Kelk’s paintings are damn fun to squiz at, and should you want to do so in real life, you can – if you happen to be in Melbourne, that is. A collection of her paintings, entitled Common Ground, is now on display at Modern Times, located at 311 Smith Street in Fitzroy. Pop past tonight between 6pm and 8pm to attend the opening night shenanigans and nab a free bevvie, or visit before the show closes on Thursday November 30th.
