Ever toyed with the idea of having a go at letterpress printing? Thanks to this lady, you can.

Ever toyed with the idea of having a go at letterpress printing? You know the kind we’re talking about – that old school printing that makes those lovely indents in the paper. Ahh yes, it’s all rather fancypants.

Of course, there aren’t many places where you can learn the craft. In fact, the only open-access letterpress studio in all of Australia is located in Melbourne – Brunswick, to be precise. It’s run by Amy Constable, aka Saint Gertrude, a queen of the presses if ever there was one. In addition to creating a range of printed goodies (including business cards, invitations and bespoke stationery), the very crafty lady also runs a monthly letterpress class. Head over to the Saint Gertrude website to book yourself in. And check out Amy’s Pozible campaign, if you’d care to help her bring a super-rare poster printing press to Melbourne from London.
