Potatoes are delicious. And apparently also deliciously versatile. Click here for Childerhouse's super simple potato-stamped tote bag tutorial.

Potatoes are delicious. And apparently also deliciously versatile.

We have vague childhood memories of making stamps out of their starchy goodness, but it wasn't until we spotted this potato textile tutorial over on Childerhouse's blog that nostalgia took over. We need paint. And potatoes. Stat. (And maybe some salted butter for the leftovers.)

She uses triangles, but we can think of a myriad of other options too. The best part is you'll have plenty of time and stock to experiement, as potatoes are possibly the most cost-friendly art tool on the planet.

For the full instructions just head over to Childerhouse's blog. It's worth a good peruse!
