Clearly the good folk at Pigeon Toe ceramics and illustrator Shanna Murray are all of the look-on-the-bright-side persuasion, because when they got together to collaborate they produced a mug that literally tells you when it's half full. Their Optimist Tumbler is made to order from hand-thrown, glazed porcelain and probably imbues drinkers with magical perkiness and enthusiasm every time they take a swig. It's also about 50 bucks from here.
