personalised birdhouses

Here’s a tiny pub that birds can call home.

A birdhouse needn’t be a simple timber box with a hole in it. Why, it can be a classic British pub, a vintage-style caravan, or even a good old fashioned bowls club – if you reach out to crafty duo Helen and Simon Lindley (aka Lindleywood), that is. The couple, who call the green fields of Grantham, England home, specialise in the art of the personalised birdhouse (a super-niche market, and one we heartily endorse). Each birdhouse is handmade and hand-painted on sustainable European redwood pine supplied by a small local wood merchant. Plus, all the paints Helen and Simon use are non-toxic to plants and wildlife, which is rather good news, too. Pop over to their online store to check out the full range.
