patrick commency’s fresco art

This French street artist paints rather lovely (and super-realistic) frescos on old buildings around the world.

Ever see a wall and wonder what you could paint on it? If you’re a street artist, this is probably your standard response. French street artist Patrick Commency has the same response, but on a super-impressive scale. The talented lad paints mind-bogglingly realistic frescos on old buildings in France and around the world with a bunch of likeminded mates. To date, they’ve done around 300. The style of art is called trompe-l'œil, which means “trick of the eye”, and in Patrick’s scenes, there are whole worlds of folks and festivities to ogle. Scroll down to see some of his work, then take a squiz at his website to see what else he’s been up to lately.
