With COVID putting a dampener on the Paris museum’s nine million yearly visitors, the Louvre team has been busy upgrading its website and online database to house around 482,000 works (a big jump from the 30,000 public listings it used to have). That means masterpieces including the Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa are now free to view alongside countless other treasures in the museum's mammoth catalogue.
