A good work of art stops you in your tracks and inspires you to keep looking. LA-based photographer Nicholas Scarpinato’s work does exactly that; it’s impossible to not be drawn in by the moody (or, in some cases, surreal) imagery. Clearly a talented snapper (he’s been featured in arts publications since he was just a teenager), he often adds painting or drawing to images, giving them an otherwordly feel.
