naples's artistic train stations

By Emma Do

A sprawling mosaic ceiling makes this metro stop feel like an underwater cave.

Train stations are usually the place you hurry through to get elsewhere. Make a pit stop at the Toledo Metro station in Naples, Italy, though, and you might find yourself getting caught up in the unique surroudings. Designed by Spanish architect Oscar Tusquets Blanca, it's one of the city's many 'Art Stations', and leads commuters from iridescent corridors down into a huge, mosaic-covered cavern. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're walking in the depths of the ocean, perhaps put this place on your bucket list.
