Nadja Stäubli's photos stir up some seriously mixed emotions: one part awe, and one part heebie-jeebies.

Nadja Stäubli's photos stir up some seriously mixed emotions: part of us wants to hotfoot it to this hyper-coloured location, stat, but it also kind of gives us the heebie-jeebies, like some sort of surreal, oversaturated set from Edward Scissorhands or a David Lynch flick. (On second thoughts, that makes us want to live there more.) The silent, empty indoor pool is just as unnerving as it is beautiful, and the beach towel slung over a chunky, old TV is sparking memories of every budget hotel we've ever stayed at. Creeepy.

Have a look through the series, as well as the rest of Nadja's portfolio here, and feel the willies for yourself.
