Have a gander at the curious still life arrangements in the storage rooms of Vienna’s Museum of Natural History.

Museums are a wonderful place to while away an hour or two – but for Vienna-based shutterbug Klaus Pichler, the real action goes on in the bowels of the place: the depots, the cellars and the storage rooms. After catching a glimpse of a stuffed antelope sitting among office supplies through a basement window at his local museum of natural history, the fellow decided to embark on a major photographic project, capturing all the curious still life arrangements that occur in the places where the public aren’t permitted. Take a peek at some of the scenes he’s captured just below, then direct your eyeballs towards his website to see a whole lot more.
