Things we like: cool ideas, cool ladies and cool ladies sharing their cool ideas. That’s why we’re doing a mini jump for joy in the lead-up to the inaugural Make Nice “un-conference”.

Taking place over three days as part of Vivid Ideas in Sydney, the event will see a bunch of clever female speakers providing practical advice, sharing their knowledge and generally chit-chatting about working in creative industries. From French fashion designer Leslie David to US photographer Elizabeth Weinberg and local names like Suzy Tuxen, Elize Strydom and Brodie Lancaster, you’ll be privy to untold stories, insightful conversation and tidbits the presenters wish they’d known a little sooner.

A ticket (available here) will get you into events over the full weekend, plus a Friday night dinner and dance party and plenty more yummy eats. You’ll also be part of a year-long online forum that’s been created for open dialogue between speakers and attendees.
