luu driftwood necklaces

New Zealand jewellery label Luu combines driftwood and mineral stones to create earthy pieces that are both pretty and meaningful.

There's a lot more to the beach than sand and water. In fact, it's most of the other stuff that comes with it that we like, not the grainy particles that end up in the bottom of our tote bads for weeks to come. From rockpooling to lobbing washed-up tiny jellyfish at your friends, New Zealand designer Luzette Godinez has got the right idea.

She runs a jewellery label called Luu that is comprised of pieces made out of driftwood and pretty-coloured minerals. You can either take them as lovely piece of nature to hang around your neck, or if you're a little more into spiritual mumbo jumbo, you can choose your piece based on the meanings of the stone it contains.
