We've swapped our usual cuppa for a piece of straw to chew on this morning, as we try to readjust to life in the big city. Last night the frankie runway show at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival took a trip to the little house on the prairie, as models trod the runway amongst wheat fields and peaceful rural scenery. Femininity shone through with a healthy dose of the prim and proper, but plenty of layering, volume and prints took the designs from fuddy-duddy to super fun. We couldn't tear our eyes away from the models pretty faces though, which were framed by an assortment of silky scarves, pom-pom fringed wraps and carefully crafted collars.
Take a peek at our runway pics, which feature Gorman's sleek autumnal tones, Jolet's sophisticated lady-like numbers, Karen Walker's flowy fabulousness, Leonard St's pieces that play with shape and patterns, Limedrop's dramatic linesĀ and Kuwaii's futuristic creations. A big cry of thanks to everyone who helped make the night happen, as well as to Lucas Dawson who took the pretty pictures.
