ladies of letters

Fancy nabbing a piece of word nerd-style art (with a portion of the profits going to a good cause)?

Remember the beautiful alphabet poster that popped up in our special 60th issue? The typographic loveliness was whipped up by hand letterer Carla Hackett, who had so much fun with her ABCs that she's decided to do it all again.

Carla and her fellow arty type, Amy Constable - AKA Saint Gertrude - have collaborated on a whole alphabet's worth of prints, with Carla crafting the letters, and Amy printing them out on her nifty letterpress. The ladies released one letter each day through November, and now all 26 are ready to be snapped up from their online store. If nabbing a piece of word nerd-style art isn't enough to make you kick up your heels, a portion of the profits will be donated to the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, as well.

Pick up a print here, or have a gander at their behind-the-scenes video showing how each print is made.
