If you could reach out and touch your childhood memories, how would they feel?

If you could reach out and touch your childhood memories, how would they feel? In her lengthy installation, Coming Home, artist Kay Healey has made them soft and warm – just like a blanket hanging in Philadelphia International Airport’s Terminal E.

The hand-drawn, screenprinted creation was inspired by four Philadelphians’ earliest memories of home, with a special focus on the furniture that was most important to them and their folks. Have a squiz at the pics, then check out the time-lapse video below to see how Kay, along with a team of crafty folk, stitched this masterpiece together.
