Meet Javier de Riba, a fellow painting tile patterns on abandoned floors around Barcelona.

There are plenty of folks out there who have a thing with floors – but Javier de Riba has got to be one of the passionate fellows in the floor-loving community. For a couple of years now, the Barcelona-based artist has been painting old school tile patterns on abandoned floors and demolition zones around his hometown. Sometimes he spray-paints with the aid of stencils, other times he paints with rollers, but irrespective of his technique, the result is always pretty eye-popping. Have a squiz at a few of his installations just below, then cruise over to his Instagram to see all his latest works.
