ipnot’s super-realistic food embroidery

Take a peek at this Japanese artist’s epic (yet tiny) embroidery. Warning: may induce sudden cravings for ramen.

Ever been inspired to pick up a needle and thread because your grandmother made it look so damn fun? Japanese artist ipnot did – and now she’s whipping up teeny-tiny embroidered masterpieces. She uses the French knot stitch and thinks of her needle like a paintbrush (hence why her work has a bit of a stipple painting effect). The results are incredibly eye-catching – not to mention realistic! Grandma would be proud.
