It’s a tad ironic that the ladies behind a blog named A Beautiful Mess have come up with a DIY that’ll keep your bookshelf looking ship-shape. We’re mighty glad they did, though; the sneaky project is easy enough to finish off in a crafty afternoon, and will make it seem like your row of paperbacks is effortlessly standing to attention at all times.

Heads up: there is some simple woodcutting required, but if you’re handy with a power tool - or can find some wood already cut to shape - the rest of the simple info is over on their website. (It's also a great excuse to go op-shopping for some cute old books.)
