independent photography festival

Shutterbugs, photo fans, lend us your ears: the annual Independent Photography Festival is back in 2015, and this time it’s going global. Hopefully, anyway.

Shutterbugs, photo fans, lend us your ears: the annual Independent Photography Festival is back in 2015, and this time it’s going global. Hopefully, anyway.

The nine-day event – a way to high-five independent photographers in a real-life, screen-free setting – is jampacked with exhibitions, guest speakers, workshops, publication launches, not to mention a rather special photo prize. But after three years of making its home in snap-happy Melbourne, the founders are looking to spread their wings, taking the whole shebang to London, New York, Los Angeles and just a little further up the coast to Sydney.

To do this they’ll need a bit of a helping hand, though, which is where their Pozible campaign comes in. (If the promise of a fiesta of photography fun isn’t enough to entice you, maybe some spiffy rewards will do the trick.) The campaign closes on Monday June 1st – pop over here to find out more about how your dosh could help out. For a looksee at past festival goodness, head here.
